Leesha White
Second Grade Teacher
B.A. Elementary Ed. K-6, Masters in Education Mars Hill University
Leesha White believes that every student is a gift from God. She has taught preschool, grades K-4, been an assistant teacher, a substitute teacher and librarian, a bus driver, and an after school teacher. She knows the importance of family, community, staff, and friends to make each day a success for each student. Although Leesha has worn many hats throughout her 22 years in education, she believes in the importance of always learning. She has recently graduated from Mars Hill University with her Master’s degree and is in the process of obtaining her National Board certification. Ms. White knows she is blessed in more ways than she deserves, however, she was chosen as Teacher of the Year once at North Cove Elementary and once at Old Fort Elementary. She loves working with children and providing opportunities for growth, activities, and fun. It’s OK to get a little messy, even when we can’t find Clorox wipes.
Mission Statement:
My mission as a teacher is to instill the belief in my students that they can achieve anything. I will show them compassion and fairness. I will treat students as individuals and try to meet their intellectual and emotional needs. I will strive to mold students into independent thinkers and problem solvers while using their leader habits. Learning can be fun and silly as well, but all students will know they are loved and supported always.
