Ashley Butler has been teaching for 19 years; she's spent two years in middle school, five years in a traditional high school, and the last 12 years in an early college high school. She attended East Carolina University (go Pirates!) to obtain both her bachelor's degree and master's degree and is certified to teach math for grades 6-9, English for grades 6-12, and economics & personal finance for grades 9-12.
Ashley is a National Board Certified Teacher who believes being in the world of education is truly a calling. Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering an environment where curiosity is nurtured, critical thinking is encouraged, and every student feels challenged & empowered to grow as an individual. She aims to equip her students with the skills to become active participants in shaping their own future and navigate an ever-changing world.
