I was born and raised in McDowell County and attended Appalachian State University where I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education K-6 in 2016 and a Masters in School Administration in 2022. I taught for nine years before transitioning to Assistant Principal.

Working in education has always been my passion. I believe that all children are different and require specific attention and affection for them to flourish. I strive to be that for each of our students; as an educator who loves each child that walks in our doors and gives each of them not only an education but a passion to learn.

This year will definitely be a fun year, but as in every school year, things can and will come up. I believe that a successful year starts with an open communication line between parents/guardians.
