Hello! I'm Mrs. Leslie Hughes, and I have the pleasure of teaching 4th grade Nonfiction ELA, Science, and Social Studies. Originally from Marion, I now call Spruce Pine home, where I live with my husband Chad, our two adventurous boys, CJ (12) and Jake (8), and our delightful twin daughters, Macie and Myla (3½ years).

I graduated from McDowell High School in 2002, pursued my education at McDowell Technical Community College, and then transferred to Appalachian State University, where I earned my degree in 2007. With 18 years of teaching experience here at Nebo, I am excited to engage and inspire our young learners every day!
