Read to Achieve
The Read to Achieve program is a part of the Excellent Public Schools Act which became law in July of 2012 and applied to all schools at the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. The goal of the State is to ensure that every student read at or above grade level by the end of third grade.
G.S. 115C-83.10 requires each local board of education to publish annually on a Web site maintained by that local school administrative unit and to report in writing to the State Board of Education (SBE) by September 1 of each year the following information on the prior school year.
