Camp Opportunity

Registration Deadline 

McDowell County Schools is partnering with McDowell Technical Community College to offer Camp Opportunity to middle school students June 26-29, 2023. The day camp provides campers with the opportunity to learn about a different career each day through exploration and hands on activities. Sessions will be held at McDowell High School, McDowell Technical Community College, Universal Advanced Manufacturing campus and other area locations.

Camp will begin each day at McDowell High School and transportation will be offered through an abbreviated bus route.

WHO: Middle grade students (rising 6th through 8th grades) from McDowell County Public Schools

WHEN: June 26-29, 2023

WHERE: McDowell High School, McDowell Technical Community College, and other area locations.

COST: FREE! Includes breakfast and snacks!

TRANSPORTATION: Camp will begin each day at McDowell High School; transportation offered through an abbreviated bus route. Transportation to the off-site sessions will be provided.
