I am honored to represent the North Cove School District on the McDowell County Board of
Education. I am fortunate to have been a student in the McDowell County School system for
grades 1st through 12th.

My career started with working for J.B. Brooks Electric Company, Inc. In 1994, I began teaching
the Electrical Trades classes at McDowell High School. I thoroughly enjoyed my many years of
teaching. I continue to value the importance of Career and Technical education in our schools.
I am married to Andrea Brooks Allison. Our children are Jason (Angie), Zane (Charisse), and
Casey (Savannah). We have six grandchildren: Ty, Macey, Silas, Casen, Elias, and Asa.

I am an active member of Grace Community Church. Over the years, I have coached youth
baseball and served on the McDowell County Board of the American Red Cross. We participate
and love to support the Live Like Megan Foundation and the Green Beret Foundation.

I look forward to serving the students, parents, teachers, faculty, and staff of McDowell County
Schools. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give back what has been given to me and
my family.
